Here are some good practices that I find useful to bring into daily life, as they have helped me stay engaged with the world and try to make it better while also feel at peace (even with strong or unpleasant emotions or feelings) in the core of my being, most of the time... :)

Your Body Heals - My story

It is what you do on a regular basis that allows or prevents your body from healing (most of the time). This does not include bad accidents that result in big trauma to your body where you may need external intervention or support to heal.

I am writing this based on my own experience of healing from mild Disc Degenerative Disease (DDD) and trauma to my tailbone diagnosed during my early twenties and fully recovering from it years later....
